 * Pesticide Properties :

 

 

It's a systemic, protective, and curative fungicide with a wide spectrum for controlling numerous diseases on leafy vegetables, roots, fruits of crops, fruit trees, vegetables, and lawns. It's also used for disinfecting roots, rhizomes, and tubers and for protecting against storage diseases inside refrigerators and warehouses.

 

 

* Composition and Active Ingredient Ratio:

 

 

Contains Methyl Thiophanate 70% (w/w).

 

 

* Phytotoxicity:

 

 

The pesticide does not cause phytotoxicity and is tolerated by all mentioned crops under recommended conditions and usage rates.

 

 

* Toxicity to Bees, Birds, and Fish:

 

 

Non-toxic to bees, toxic to birds and fish.

 

 

* Toxicity classification according to World Health Organization standards:

 

 

( WHO Class III+) it's unlikely to cause any toxicity within recommended usage rates.

 

 

* Compatibility:

 

 

Compatible  with most other common pesticides except for copper compounds and alkaline substances like Bordeaux mixture. If unsure, conduct a mixture compatibility test.

 

 

* Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI):

 

 

10 days for apples, pears, and citrus fruits, and one day for other targeted crops.

 

 

* Mode of Action:

 

 

The pesticide affects the fungus by interfering with cell division (preventing hyphal formation), reducing respiration rates, and nucleic acid synthesis.

 

 

* Usage Rates:

 

 

Local approval for preventive control of powdery mildew on cucumbers at a rate of 0.7 kg per hectare.
