Zero  Oil-Based Herbicide

 

 

 

*Pesticide Properties :

 

 

A selective, broad-spectrum systemic herbicide used post-emergence to control a range of annual grass and broadleaf weeds in wheat fields.

 

 

*Composition and Active Ingredient :

 

 

Pyroxsulam: 4.46% , Fluroxypyr: 20.58% , Safener: 8.61%

 

 

*Toxicity Classification According to WHO Standards:

 

 

Slightly toxic (WHO Class III).

 

 

*Toxicity to Bees, Birds, and Fish:

 

 

Non-toxic to bees, birds, and fish.

 

 

*Toxicity to Plants:

 

 

The herbicide does not harm durum and soft wheat varieties, which show excellent tolerance. It should not be used on barley. Therefore, it is advised to test the herbicide on these plants on a limited scale before broad application.

 

 

*Application Rate:

 

 

500 ml per hectare.

 

 

*Compatibility :

 

 

Compatible with most fungicides, insecticides, and herbicides. It can also be mixed with broadleaf herbicides like 2,4-D Amine Salt. It should not be mixed with growth regulators or organophosphorus pesticides.

 

 

*Pre-Harvest Interval:

 

 

The active ingredient degrades quickly in the soil and does not persist, so there are no restrictions on subsequent crops planted after wheat treated with this herbicide.

 

 

*Key Weeds Controlled :

 

 

Grass Weeds: Wild oat, Vulpia (Vulpia bromoides), Bromus (Brome grass), Lolium (Ryegrass), and wild barley. It also provides very good control of wild barley by stopping its growth.

 

Broadleaf Weeds: Wild mustard, Vetch, Flixweed, Common sowthistle, Purslane, Shepherd's purse, Corn salad, Wild carrot, Cock’s comb, Goosefoot, Field bindweed, Camel thorn, Milk thistle, Shepherd’s needle, Fumitory, Sorrel, Nettle, and Knotweed.

 

 

*Mode of Action:

 

 

Pyroxsulam: Mainly absorbed through the leaves and retains its effectiveness in the soil for a short period after application. After spraying, Pyroxsulam moves systemically within the weeds (bark and wood) and inhibits the enzyme acetolactate synthase, which is responsible for synthesizing amino acids (valine, leucine, isoleucine), ultimately leading to the cessation of cell division and death of sensitive weeds.

 

Fluroxypyr: Absorbed quickly through the leaves and causes a rapid hormonal effect on the weeds.

 

 

*Symptoms of Action:

 

 

Immediately after application, sensitive weeds stop growing, and their leaves and growing tips turn yellow. Sensitive weeds die within 14-21 days after application under normal growth conditions.

 

 

*Usage Tips:

 

 

For best results, ensure both the crop and weeds are in good growing conditions. It is recommended to apply the herbicide when temperatures are between 8-25°C.

 

Weed kill may be delayed in cold conditions, but this does not affect the final efficacy.

 

Avoid applying the herbicide if temperatures are below 5°C or if the crop is under drought stress.
