Gold Eilkt Emulsifiable Concentrate
*Pesticide Properties :
Selective herbicide used to control annual and perennial grass weeds in broadleaf crops, such as tomatoes, potatoes, beans, sugar beets, chickpeas, tobacco, fava beans, carrots, strawberries, onions, lentils, and fruit trees.
*Composition and Active Ingredient :
Clethodim 240 g/L (w/v).
*Mode of Action:
The herbicide is absorbed through the leaves and accumulates in the meristematic tissues, disrupting the enzyme responsible for lipid synthesis. It inhibits meristem function by halting the biosynthesis of lipids, which are crucial components of the cell membrane in plants, leading to the inability to create new cells, cessation of growth, and eventual death.
*Toxicity Classification According to WHO Standards:
Moderate toxicity (WHO Class II).
*Toxicity to Bees, Birds, and Fish:
Non-toxic to bees and birds, low toxicity to fish.
*Application Guidelines:
Use Clethodim 240 EC after calibrating spraying equipment to produce medium-sized droplets ranging from 200 to 300 microns.
*Usage Rate:
150 liters per hectare for dense weed clusters. Optimal results are achieved when spraying during light opposing winds. Avoid spraying during temperature inversions or extremely low relative humidity conditions.
*Compatibility:
The herbicide should be applied alone without mixing with other pesticides.
*Pre-Harvest Interval:
100 days for sugar beets
30 days for tomatoes
60 days for potatoes, onions, lentils, chickpeas, peas, and fava beans.
*Target Weeds:
Effective against wild oats, Phalaris, green foxtail, barnyardgrass, and perennial ryegrass when the plant height is 15-20 cm and at the three-leaf stage.
*Spray Volume:
The preferred spray volume is 150 liters of water per hectare.
*Plant Toxicity:
Does not cause any phytotoxicity when applied at the recommended concentrations as stated on this label.
