It does not affect germination, nor does it cause phytotoxicity even at higher usage rates. It has high efficacy in controlling both internal (loose smut, Fusarium) and external (covered smut) seed diseases, providing protection to seeds during their time in the soil during germination.
It is easy to handle, has no foul odor, and does not cause skin or eye irritation. Birds should be kept away from treated seeds in the soil.
*Note:
It can be used to disinfect chickpea seeds to prevent Ascochyta blight. Local studies have shown its success in preventing this disease and protecting plants even at the seedling stage, even when used at a double dose, without causing any seedling toxicity. It can also be used to disinfect cotton and peanut seeds.
*Usage Rates:
Local reliance: For disinfecting wheat and barley seeds against smut diseases, use at a rate of 1 liter/ton of seeds.
